Lion Huggie
Pattern Description:
The Lion Huggie is an adorable amigurumi lovey pattern that is crocheted with worsted weight yarn. If you would like to create a larger and softer version you might choose to crochet with a bulky yarn and coordinating hook. This lion huggie is considered to be low sew. The specific yarn I used for this example is Lion Brand Heartland and Hobby Lobby I Love This Yarn for the snout. I also created a fun template to use with this pattern. More information about the template is below.

Pattern Overview:
This pattern, like most of my crochet patterns, is considered to be low sew. The arms are attached as you crochet the head, then the mane will be attached with a special technique and the blanket part is attached as you go as well. This way you won’t have to worry about sewing the blanket on centered at the end. When I started crocheting amigurumi, I did not enjoy sewing the pieces together at the end. With that in mind, I try to create my patterns with as many pieces attached as you go. Once you are finished, all that remains are the ears, snout and eyes (unless you choose to use safety eyes). A step-by-step picture tutorial is provided to embroider the sleepy eyes.
This pattern would be perfect for:
• Baby Shower Decor
• Newborn Gift
• Sell at Craft Shows
• Photo Prop
• Nursery Decor
