Riggs the Lion
Pattern Description:
Riggs the Lion is a lovable amigurumi pattern that is crocheted with worsted weight yarn. If you would like to create a larger and softer version you might choose to crochet with a bulky yarn and coordinating hook. This lion is considered to be low sew. The specific yarn I used for this example is Lion Brand Heartland and Hobby Lobby I Love This Yarn for the snout. I have also crocheted this lion using Premier Parfait Chunky yarn.

Pattern Overview:
This pattern, like most of my crochet patterns, is considered to be low sew. The legs, tail and arms are attached as you crochet the body. The mane will be attached with a special technique. Don’t worry, pictures are included. When I started crocheting amigurumi, I did not enjoy sewing the pieces together at the end. With that in mind, I try to create my patterns with as many pieces attached as you go. Once you are finished, all that remains are the ears, snout and eyes (unless you choose to use safety eyes).
This pattern would be perfect for:
• Safari Nursery Decor
• Newborn Gift
• Sell at Markets
• Grow With Me Prop
• Birthday Gift
